Hey.. this is uh my third enstallment of a vector into my gallary. I'm not that vector focused, just something I do for fun.I am looking for sugestions on certain parts of it. I dont enjoy the mouth... and am looking to emprove it, as well as the right side of the body.. the shoulder or whatever that is haha. In the reference these two parts were hard to see and recreate. Hope you can help.

roughly how would you do this in photoshop?
is it a case of getting a pic and then drawing a trace on top manually or is there a simpler way?
how long did this take you fromt he reference photo?

Um well It didnt take me long... actually that's a lie, it took me a couple days. Thats a long time for me to work on something haha.
To do this, because it was one of my firsts, I set the referance photo to the size I wanted, and used the pen tool over top. It takes a while because you have to do every object as a seperate piece. It gets faster as you go along though.
After I got into it a bit more I was able to make vectors without reference photographs, which is nice.

Well, yeah vectoring is kinda difficult, but its really cool. I use Photoshop CS... I recently got Illustrator, but havent used it yet...

What'd you use to make this? I've been trying to do something similar for my devID, but my always looks weird.

For the shoulder there 2 points it should hit, first start at the top right edge of the green strap and dive (with a slight curve) right to the bottom right corner. Beautiful job. Love the colors!

The nose is a little dull, but overall it is all fine.

etaher the eyes are too far down on the head, or your hair is to far up....i dunno it just looks like a cone head haha. im compelled to say "whats with the long face jenn?"

ha yeah I guess I see what your saying.. but proportion is the hardest part of drawing remember that... if someone can proportion a face they are a good artist...

i actually think the mouth is really interesting, its nice and detailed
youre right about the shoulder tho, i think it should look more smooth?
maybe slanted a little down instead of straight across? i dont know.
i wish i could do these, i tried once and it didnt work out, nice colors too!
