This was super fun to do

it really sucks aha
This is my first run cycle so it sucks /A LOT/
also my first real animation
I made this with gimp. Which is the most confusing and suckass program i've ever used. But whatever, I'm just a nooooooob. So yeah i felt like making an animation :> This was originally going to be Akelie swimming underwater, but then i was like ASDFGHJKL and just made a run cycle ;0

22 frames :> and obviously its not done/its a sketch
ALSO Around frame 18 or something theres this point where I accidently moved the frame so it kind of wigs out over there.

I love it! Very fluid as many have said but i have caught something i don't think any have yet... the back... the back is too hunched all through the cycle. The body usually does a recoil motion. Like the body shifts weight with each lope. But other than that its great! I looove it.

Very nice for your first run cycle c: It's not choppy and pretty smooth.
I'm not much of an expert on canine anatomy, but I can tell you looked study the run cycles of them. I would recommend taking even further looks.
I feel like the ears should maybe be falling back more. They're not really moving too much.
Not sure what else to say, I know it's just a rough right now. Can't wait to see it cleaned up and completed

Probably. I kept tracing them and I didn't realize the head and ears weren't moving until the 6-10th frame, and then I started moving it but not enough

It's very fluid and smooth, and I'd be very proud of this for being a first time animation with real effort. c:
I notice you even did more than most artists with run cycles, like the head shifts and the tail movements.
You must've watched and studied a good bit of run cycles to get it this good :3
Th eonly thing I can say about this is that it looks kind weird at the feet because the fornt paws go lower than the back paws.
For future run cycles, most people put two lines for where the ankles and paw steps should run along, if that makes any sense.
But other than that, this is really well done. X3

Argh I hate when people only move the feet in run cycles, it looks stupid Dx
I didn't really look at many but I do remember how it looks in my head :> the way the feet move. (Yet I still didn't get it right in mine aha)
Yeah I know at one point i was so done with the feet Dx plus my canvas was so small that i had to keep shrinking the legs and stuff

Oh plus there front and back legs don't go the same way.
The front legs go left while the back legs go right (vice versa) to look like this */-\ (the /'s are the legs otl)
but like i said in the description i was originally going to make her swimming but then i decided not to :<)

Not quite.
When the legs cross together, the back legs go down, instead of coming backwards and then going down.
I was too lazy to fix anything though, but i mean it's pretty close.

Yeah.
The thing that bugs me the most is the pen pressure, and the fact that you can't move anything without moving the whole canvas...
Like for the pen pressure, (which took me like 10 minutes to find) you have to press your pen hard (i use a tablet) for the brush to get smaller instead of for it to get larger...

Like, on this it took me at least 30 minutes how to figure out how to get pen pressure, then it was completely opposite (The harder you press the smaller it gets, instead of the larger it gets) Which really ticked me off o:<

Yeah, there's this little thing that you click somewhere (oh good lord I'm so helpful) and it drops this animation thingy and you can add frames and mess around with the speed. It's (in my opinion) easier than Gimp T_T but my photoshop won't open.... or my flash Dx
