They Don't steal each others names.... they made them originally in different concepts. Even though a Cameron movie and a Cartoony one.
dont pout about it. everybody wins, you must see both movies like Avatar, and the upcoming The Last Airbender.

Okay, I'll level with you, I haven't actually seen A:TLA yet, but I've heard terrible things about it. I've seen Avatar and liked it a lot, and most everyone I know liked it too. (Although others are probably turned off my the Misanthropic Genre altogether.) I'd have to see The Last Airbender before I have an actual say in it, but most people I know hated the movie.

XD i laughed when i saw this, but i was pretty pissed when i saw the movie called Avatar be about the Navi and such, dont get me wrong it was a beautifull movie buuut... Mr.Cameron REALLY shoulda chosen a different name as if he didnt have enough respect to change the name because "the last aribender" was just some old movie... and i was even more angry when i went to go see "the last airbender" because i didnt find it that good, aaanyways sorry for the rant but thanks for the laugh XP

For me, it was the opposite. Although, I thought the Avatar movie was the Last Airbender one. I didn't want to see it. Mostly because I never seen the SERIES, and that for the most part, when they make a movie from a show it often sucks, I wouldn't want my first viewing of the franchise to be a crappy movie.
So cue me, telling my friend I'm not interested, then them telling me it was called "The Last Airbender". I felt STUPID.
