Description One of the more consistent scare campaigns of the Retrumplian Party is that Social Security is "out of control". A lie actually, it is the only fully funded support program in the US.

In 2024, 12.4 percent of income up to $168,600 goes into the Social Security pot. Job holders and their employers split the contribution at 6.2 percent each; self-employed people pay both shares. That money goes into two Social Security trust funds, called Old-Age and Survivors Insurance and Disability Insurance. The first pays out benefits to retirees and their family members and survivors; the second covers benefits for workers with disabilities and their family members and survivors.

the US government often borrows money from thse funds and this is where the Retrumplicans are objecting to Social Security. The money they borrow has to be repaid and like all wealthy people, they know you don't get rich by paying your bills.

The other issue is that the number of Baby Boomers relying on Social Security will cause a short term problem after 2032. As long as, however, US citizens are employed in the US, and the number of workers and jobs grows, then the impact of larger numbers of Baby Boomers will be minimal.

Seems Retrumplicans are threatened by women, but I don't know why. All I can suggest is that if you want your country to flourish, you need every aspect of it to work as it should. The major problem I see is that Supply Side Economics has reached the end of its usefulness, and is now the parasite that Keynesian Economics was evolving into before being replaced by Reaganomics.

Dictators are the same all over, no matter where they live, what time frame, how they frame their dictatorship. They are all the same. They use the same language, the same emotive tactics to destroy public confidence in the Democratic process. These images do not compare anything, they reflect, and I am sure if I looked, I would see similar images of Mao, Lenin, Kim, Xi, Idi Amin, Pol Pot, and a lot of others. Can't see Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Churchill, Kennedy, Thatcher, even Reagan using these gestures though.
