What makes this piece good to me is that she's not just putting up your everyday "smile-for-the-camera"-grin which is sort of pretty unemotional to me. She must have a reason not to put up that grin. Nothing is more boring than a picture of some people just smiling at the camera. Snapshot is the key word! Capture the emotion of the people, and don't tell them to prepare or act happy or something, just hit the button. So while these normal photos are somehow empty to me, this one seems so much more characteristic to me. Because there is character in this tiger.
