Description
...but not to break the old one...So I left home to stay at Demdems place. When I was on the way I noticed I forgot my phone at a table, because I left it there to change pants before leaving.
Apparently the phone was in the pocket of the pants anyway, which I left home.
I always had this accessory in the phone, that I leave outside of the pants, so I know where the phone is.
So my mom thought this accessory was attached to my pants, she removed it, I HAVE NO IDEA HOW, but somehow she never saw the phone in there.
And so she put the pants AND the phone to the washing machine.
I usually had waterproof phones because I often had to travel in rain and stuff, but this one I got as a gift because I didn't have money to buy one myself. SO of course everything bad happens!
My mother heard this odd BZZZZRRT sound from the pocket after wash, and she noticed the phone is there. It kept doing the sound for a long time. They had it dry in sunlight, and when it was dry the sounds stopped.
And the phone never worked again.
All I heard was a message in msn from my mom that my phone had been in the washmachine. I somehow thought it would've worked still.
So we went to get that and some other stuff from my home again.
And I heard the whole story. Luckily, my sim card works still.
I don't know what files I lost with that phone, there was not really any space in it, so I'm guessing nothing but my ringtone.

It was dryed and and it doesn't work.
When I got home they had dryed it, it's completely dead.
I can understand that some phones will work, but this one didn't.
I wish I still had my 3310. You could throw those bastards down a hill to rock and no scratch happend, you could swim them in a lemonade pool and they'd not even blink.

and I only had to switch from it because the battery wouldn't work anymore, new one costed as much as a new phone.
And back then nobody knew that phones will develop into more less lasting.

if I get a phone as cheap as that I'll end up breaking it like this one :v
I really want to go back to the water and damage proof phones. they last for more than a year.

Well the Evy2 and the Evy are good solid phones.( I think you can find them for each network but I can't remember) Mine had been used for 2 years+ then I had it for a year before the battery went bad. Replaced it, good as new. XD; I am more rough on electronics then anyone I know. I have dropped it, got it wet, left it in a hot car, ect. Still works.
They are pretty cheap now since they are older phones. That's what you look for if you can't afford a 500 dollar or even a 150 dollar phone. You don't get a lot of bells and whistles, but it works.
Those water proof ones will run you 110+ dollars XD; This is just a general over veiw. You may find them cheaper on Amazon or a pawn shop or something.
..YAY WALL O TEXT

when I bought my last phone (note that I didnt buy the one that broke) it was about 90€ - waterproof - damage proof - 30gigas of memory - mp3 player - camera and all kinds of stuff. It was also the only phone that looked like a phone to me.
and I never used t he special stuff because I didnt have money to buy the cable for music. >>
and then it became so slow I just couldnt write a txt message on it anymore.

Damn,that must suck.
I've never had a phone before so i don't know how that feels.
The bright side is that the sim card still works!
It could be worse.

Well that sucks balls. I've lost a phone in this way and it is so frustrating. The again, I lost another one to it as well but after about 3 days it started working again, so, you never know it might breathe once more.
