dungeon is one of my favourite too (black dragons ftw), but every time I play as dungeon I pray that I wont get armageddon spell >.<

In Heroes 3 there was a sword where all your creatures were immune to this spell, a bit unfair but nice.

Dungeon is great, the warlocks are very powerful with their destructive spells and most of the creatures are tough and can deal huge damage. I guess only Inferno is stronger with pyhsical damage or the Orc faction?
Well what do you think is the weakest town? For me its Academy, i don't like the apperance of the heroes but worser is, that the creatures most time have spellspower...but so less lifepoints . Best are the arcmages that can shoot through mose than one troop...even trough your owns xDD

warlock + improved implosion + 50% earth dmg boots = win
I think orcs are stronger with physical dmg, because they have no magic... btw orcs are my favourite faction too, playing with blood rage is really fun, especially if you are lucky enough to get ultimate skill with your hero, you'll get almost 3rd level of blood rage at the begining of a fight and after your executioners get this 3rd level they'll become super killing machines with that triple hit
as for the weakest town... hmm I dont really know... maybe dwarves, but they are good in defense (I dont like defense gaming though >.<)
as for academy, I dont like them too, but if they are in good hands they are really strong. archmages are good, but you need to know where to put your units to not damage them
anyway you can buy battlemages instead of archmages (they wont damge friendly units that stay near, but they have no fireball )
