Peace returned to the world, all evil and darkness cleansed forever. But Pei still felt troubled. Something did not feel right. During that brief moment of unstoppable power, he felt something calling to him in the ruins of the Knight's Fortress.

Pei went into the deepest parts of the cave. Even without any sunlight touching this desolate doorway to the Void, Pei could see perfectly where he walked.

At the bottom sat the Knight, looming over the restored body of Hedwig. The body stirred.

Pei went to his brother. The Knight felt distant. It was like the whole world conspired against him. Now he had nothing. No one.

Pei expected the Knight to jump up in anger and attack, but he just stood there, silently thinking.

Pei offered his hand. The Knight looked to his brother, and spoke for the first time in generations.

"If I couldn't be saved then, what makes you think I can be saved now?"

With that, the Knight faded from existence, his dark power to never again terrorize the universe. Pei began to feel whole again. Behind the spot where Hedwig lay, he could see a massive stone arch, weathered but still standing. Something about it called out, like it hid something important.

A wooden door sat in the arch, with a gold handle and seven seals. The topmost one, a helmet, began to glow with the rest, and the door faded into a beam of light.

It was behind the door.
