Boring title..didnt know what to use....its not even sky! XDI was just so bored and in the mood to draw something that's called Manhattan... Again.
This time my friend got all crazy and wanted me to draw a normal background instead of awesome black with crap... xD
That background took me only 1 hour and is full of fail, not my strongest point, but im happy with the Manhattan. XD She looks so badass on this one...erm, more annoyed or bored.
She like city lights maybe and stare over....buildings!
Ikr that she have a strange spiked things...she always wear weird stuff.

I think what you could do to make the background a bit better is taking some more time to detail it. The creature looks very clear, clear and detailed so the background doesn't fit it. The shading on the brick wall also seems off. Again, maybe if you'd put some detail into it then that would make you work on the shading a bit more. You can practise such things best if you go outside, look at real things and try to copy the shading and form. Like, go find a brick wall and look at it. Make sure to notice all the details and different shades and then try to draw it. Basically you can do the same thing by looking at a photo.
But I think the perspective of the bg is good and also the whole idea of it.

Cool character design! I love the wings, and especially the face! The design on their arm is really cool as well. The background also looks great, with the city lights and the bridge. Nice work
