This is one of the requests I had gotten from my 'Shoujo-ai yuri week' feature journal XD;Requested by:
~JediJames , ~eccentria and ~ligaya
Actually this pose was going to be used for Makoto and Ami, but they were intimated by the threat of cryptic words and gleaming axes in rose gardens..not to mention Akio rape, lol..so Utena and Anthy just worked, and I had wanted to draw them anyway, it had been too long!!!
I love Utena's movie hair *_* I drew all that whoosh before hand as Makoto with her hair down but it just cried out 'Utena' to me.

This is just gorgeous! I'm always just blown away at how well you use "real" non-digital media--markers, pencils, pastels. I can do watercolors, but I usually screw up, get impatient, get out the white-out, and take it to Photoshop Land instead. XD
Kind of terrible, I guess, because there's a real classy, artisanal feel to stuff like this--online art, sure, but it was done with Real Media in Real Life. Takes a really calculated sureness, I guess.
I should bust out my watercolors again one of these days. XD

Really well done! I love how this looks, I'll even go as far as to say that it almost looks like official art. I am impressed.
As for ~MistressLegato 's comment. Chiho Saitou is a member of Bepapas and, as I recall, signed all rights to them. Of course if you were stating that Chiho Saitou created Utena then you're probably right.

Utena and Anthy actually belong to the mangaka Chiho Saitou.

Actually, Bepapas has the rights to Utena and Anthy because they created Utena, Chiho Saitou only wrote the story and drew them for the manga. So technically, they are created by, and or belong to Bepapas, but she is part of Bepapas. So I guess it depends on how technical you want to get.
