In the game of chess, the pawn is often the figure that a lot of people devalue rather harshly. In truth, its role is crucial.

Meet the E pawn (aka Edward). Edward is charging forward, as you do because e4 (best opening ever?). Edward is aware that he may not survive the battle, but the responsibility of making the first move and ensuring his king's safety, the advancement of the army, and the development of His Majesty's strategy gives him unshakable determination. He knows his fellow brethren would be coming shortly to secure the centre of the battlefield. (and an obvious Kc3 is coming so Edward feels rather safe)

I made it with Midjourney and had different ideas and styles in mind.
Since there are 8 pawns, I might share more of them, to take advantage of the different art styles.
