Description

I sighed a paw going to my now scared eye. My mind went to the day I had gotten in.

My ears stung from the fresh piercings. I gently placed a paw upon one with a wince. "Ahgg, damn..." I grunted angrily.
I sighed and curled up in my nest closing my eyes to take a nap.

My eyes snapped open with alarm as I lept to my paws. The air was scorching and I was struggling to breath as I saw the dancing fire before my eyes. I gasped in and the taste of smoke greeted me roughly. I choked cough in the smoke-filled air. A bundle of flames burst into the air and unfurled like giant fiery wings. A loud screech rang around me.

"Young kit, welcome to my realm. A real of trials and tribulations." the being said voice rough, "Haha, you shall have a trial by fire."

The things form slowly turned into a red bird with a fiery mane upon its crest. Gajeel stared in awe realizing that this was a god...the red god. His breath caught in his lungs as he stared red eyes wide. He laughed at me with a dark gleam in his eyes. I shivered at the look and glared back trying to be brave.

"Come now my little kit. We have a trial to enjoy." he nearly purred and with another screech the ground melted beneath as I feel through the flames the god rushing after me giant wings beating to a sick rhythm.

"Don't let your fears and inhibitions stop you" was the last thing I heard before a rough paw on my shoulder woke me.

"Gajeel, you alright?" asked my 'mother' Lilly. I winced slightly and nodded. I slowly got to my paws despite my pads feeling scorched and rough.

"Good, you have a patrol to go on."

A small smile crossed my face. We were attack, but everybody had gotten out just fine.
