It really depends on the user and the kind of tasks you need to perform.
Here are few points to be considered:
Mobility - Apple does not deliver the necessary drivers for the Intel HD Graphics on Windows, therefore the power consumption is higher. I get 7 hours of battery use for music and web browsing on Mavericks and only about 2 hours using Windows.
Productivity - The given options to save files as .xlsx / .docx in Numbers & Pages is not recommended, because of formatting incompatibility that occur when printing the edited files, therefore i have to use windows when im working with that type of documents.
Performance - In case of playing games, Windows is clearly the better choice, given more possibilities to tweak the hardware and overall support.
Performance of Intel HD Graphics 4000
On Mountain Lion, as stated in the system information
there where only 512MB of RAM available to this integrated GPU.
Since the Mavericks update there are 1024MB of RAM allocated.
Programs like Photoshop use automatically the dedicated GPU.
In the program settings you can manually chose which graphics solution you want to use.
If you do so the difference is not noticeable in the program interface, only when it comes down to processing image effects you get slower values.
Overall there is not a preferred system, using them in combination helps cancelling each others issues.
This would not be possible without the "Restore last session" feature that both systems come with.
Reboot and continue where you left of, indifferent of the system.
