Description
Even if you've never sewn before you can probably make this Charmander. Totally free to use, give credit, and if you post a pic of your finished product I would really love a link to it!Trace:
2x main body
2x underbelly
1x head gusset (long oval piece that runs from tip of nose to crown of head)
and 2 eyes
You'll have to come up with the fire for the tail on your own. I just cut two strips of felt with tall triangles, one in red and one in yellow. Tug the triangles into narrow points, make them wide enough so they don't just tear off. Then overlap them and sew in a tight circle around the tip of the tail.
If you're a beginner, keep your stitches as tight and even as you can, and when you cut out the tracings leave a quarter inch of material around the ink! I say this because I was just getting into sewing when I made this pattern and made a lot of mistakes! It'll be adorable even if it comes out a bit funny though, I swear! Hand sewn things are always really cute.

Quick question, do you cut out two of the underbelly and after sewing them to the main body do you sew them together in the middle? The finished pictures don't show the stitches of the belly very well, so I got confused.

Sorry for the late reply. Cut out two of the underbelly and sew them together first, right up the middle to make a single piece. Then sew the completed belly to the sides. Let me know if you need more clarification!

I ended up using the sewn together piece to trace out a complete underbelly instead, but it worked either way. Thank you Great pattern, it came out amazingly.
