I've wanted to do a Godzilla and Steven Universe crossover for a while now. Recently, I've had this head-canon where Steven could use his fusion power to fuse with, not just humans, but any organic being, and thus, Pink Diamond Godzilla was born!

If the Legendary Godzilla existed in the world of SU, I imagine the one humanoid being he'd have the most positive interaction with is Rose Quartz. I'm sure Rose would find Goji to be one of the most fascinating of Earth's creatures. ^^

Fast-forward five thousand years later, Rose's son, Steven, confronts Godzilla when he and the Crystal Gems would need him the most. Godzilla would be able to sense Rose's presence emitting from Steven. Rather than performing a "Fusion Dance", Steven would just have to make physical contact with Godzilla (via placing his hand on him) while Godzilla was feeling a sense of trust and security from Steven's presence.

Once fused, Godzilla would take on a more powerful, super-charged form, showcasing a vibrant, pink hyde with crystal dorsal fins and emitting a glowing, pink aura around his body. On top of that, Godzilla would be able to shoot a far more fearsome atomic blast which, at its most powerful, could focus into lethal laser beam.

However, at the cost of this, Steven would have to confront the emotional baggage Godzilla carries with him. As I see it, Godzilla is a creature that keeps his emotions locked away. He's a creature that doesn't let pain or struggle get the best of him. Steven however, is overwhelmed by the sheer amount of pain and emotion that is beyond his understanding. In turn, he feels great pity for the colossal reptile, but must overcome this whirlwind of kaiju-size pain and sorrow in order for them to work together.

The design for this SU style Godzilla was loosely inspired by RoFlo-Felorez and his awesome Godzilla artwork, since I felt it fit the art style for SU extremely well: www.deviantart.com/roflo-felor…

I used his art as reference while trying to come up with a design to make Legendary Goji more feasible to SU's art style. Overall, I really like how this design turned out! ^^

Of course, as a longtime G-Fan, I made numerous other references to previous Godzilla movies: The dorsal fins were inspired by Godzilla 2000, the "Pink Spiral Atomic Breath" was inspired by the red spiral atomic breath from Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, and the "Focused Laser Atomic Breath" was inspired by Shin Godzilla (2016).
