She had been gone for so many years, but she had not forgotten those faces."These people care about you, I can see that. But if word gets out, will they still feel that way?" It crossed her mind from time to time. Tension was only growing, and all she could do was merely stand back and remain silent as the anti-mutant rhetoric got more vocal.
"You've done well for yourself, but you're still alone. You don't have to be alone." Living in a life in seclusion brought peace, but the veil of illusion was begging to unravel.
"Are you happy here?" That was it. Gyro had to admit she longed for the intimate company of another person. One she could be open with. It was eating away at her. But what was she to do, she couldn't possibly uproot everything she set up and start over, could she?
