Tensions settled as Amy roamed the former school she called home so long ago. It was clear the x-men didn't fully trust her. Logan had caught up with her, attempted to offer her a spot in the x-men. An offer that was promptly declined. Amy had no intention on throwing away the life she was living in peace among humans to fighting off the MRD and rouge mutants full time.

"Some of us just want to live a good life Logan. I'm perfectly content where I am. Away from all this."

"You mean you're perfectly content on being a coward? Some of us can't blend in. Some of us can't live normally, and with those sentinels sensing mutant DNA on sight, no one can live normally. Not even you. How do expect to keep running away from your problems?"

"Let's get one thing straight here Logan, I am not going to stand here and get lectured by a revolving door of a man who can't commit to anything. You barely hold this team together with your reckless tactics. How you stepped up to lead, I may never know. You think you can win fighting every day? What happens if the MRD does finally dispatch. I've seen the news. Do you think every mutant taken in is just an innocent civilian? Some mutants are dangerous. Some mutants are asking for trouble. So how do you think it makes mutants look when those dangerous mutants are let back onto the street and continue rampaging the city?"

"You've got it all wrong Gyro. That's what Senator Kelly wants you to believe. He doesn't care for mutants just trying to make it. No mutant should be living in a cage." Amy sighed. It was all just too much to bare. She made her place in the world. She made her choice.

"Forget it Logan. The war of mutants is simple. No body will ever use me like a weapon again. The ends don't justify the means. We're not revolutionists. We will only bring more suffering. A raging war isn't worth the sacrifice when it can be prevented." From there Amy turned her back and headed towards the door.
"You're on your own. And don't call me Gyro."

Writing for Amy is weird.
Trying to write for someone ideologically/politically different from yourself and make them sound reasonable is difficult. A mutant centrist. Agh man.

The lighting is a little off, but it's not that big of a deal.
You can see it...kinda. Hidden from her hair, but I thought I'd incorporate Gyro's head piece for once. Basically it's a non metallic tiara, thanks to a lining of silver, that was created to successfully resist and repel telepathic attacks. Amy wears it quite often, even when she sleeps. She never liked telepaths snooping in her head
