Description
For NovaSister I finally laid out a full bio for her hellsing oc, based heavily on Vlad Tepes lll wife. Very little historical knowledge is known about her real life counterpart, especially compared to Vlad, so some details obviously may not match up completely.

Name: Ilona Szilágyi

History:
Illona was born in Hungarian nobility in 1425. She lived her youth untouched relishing in the perks of royalty without a husband and that's how she liked it. By 1450 she was arranged to marry the prince Wallachia over a land dispute, the Vlad Tepes the third. Ilona had heard his name as well as his reputation long before she ever saw him face to face. Truth be told Ilona fell for him on that reputation. The two said to meet atop a hill as the sun began to set and Vlad knew from the moment he laid his eyes on her that he loved her. The two wed shortly afterwards and promised to rule side by side for many years to come.
And ruled together they did. It wasn't until 1476 when Vlad was arrested and tried for many crimes he committed against not only his enemies, but his own people. After his execution, Ilona sat up in her castle tower as it was surrounded by Turks. She climbed up on the stone window as soldiers attempted to beat down the door, determined to take her own life rather than live as a prisoner of her enemies. At the last minute a misty shadow as dark as the night began to fill the room. Vlad reemerged and slaughtered the soldiers at Ilona's feet. She knew then and there, while no longer human, was still her dear husband. Some days passed when Vlad offered Ilona a place at his side, for all eternity. She didn't even need any time to think twice.

For many many years, Vlad and Ilona ruled the battlefields as unstoppable forces. Word spread practically all around and in the mid 19th century, an army of holy warriors took on the Count Dracula and his bride in an attempt to finally take them down and end their reign. Ilona ended up being impaled in the chest with a holy spear, grazing her heart. Overcome by grief, Vlad took Ilona hidden away in his castle where she remained for many years until Vlad was defeated by Abraham Van Helsing. Men stumbled upon Ilona's body when Dracula's castle was seized. They were all mesmerized as her beauty seemed preserved from the day she fell. One could mistake her corpse as a body in slumber. Abraham took the powerless count back to England to remold him as a servant. At Vlad's request, Abraham also brought Ilona's body. She was placed in the manor sub levels where she was to remain until her body completely faded away. However that day never came, as she remained as youthful and fresh looking as the years went by. Long after Abraham's death Arthur took no notice to Ilona's body, however Richard was rather disgusted by the idea of her. While battling during WW2, Richard ordered his men to take Ilona's body and discard it away from the manor. They did and the results were disastrous. Arthur in a panic declared Alucard was too dangerous and had him locked away until Integra finds him later.

Ilona on the other hand was found by some a more devious crowd. Baron Graham and his Graham organization had been well versed on monsters and the vampire legend. When they found Ilona's body, they began to work using marrow, blood, and tissue from her. Eventually they fell under Millennium's eye and they began fueling the right components to create artificial vampires. These experiments and desire to create even stronger vampires indirectly led the effects on Ilona herself, causing the damage to her heart to heal and finally awaken her over a century after she supposedly died.

Personality:
Ilona is much more balanced with the humanity she lost than her husband. Having an affinity for minor human hobbies in her past time. She writes poetry, she can paint, and she enjoys gardening and fencing. She extremely loyal and affectionate to those close to her. She is motherly to Seras and while they started out rather rough, she was grown a fondness to Integra Helsing. She's no stranger to war and can fight very ferociously when needed, however she is much less prone to a sadistic show like Alucard, even remarking some of his cruelty can be unnecessary. Ilona can be more of a peacemaker. Knowing how quick her own people were to turn on her husband when they feared him, she usually opts to show a good deal of mercy. That doesn't mean for a second though that she objects to such bloodshed however, being as she become quiet accustomed by it.

She is incredibly observant and it takes a lot to generally surprise her. She's quick to verbally kick down anyone who dares challenge her. She's confident and head strong. She sees her devotion to Alucard to turn her back on death as a strength rather than a weakness. She feels no bitterness nor enviousness to the humans around her, however she does see some value in human virture.
