I really like Rika’s laid-back personality, and that fact that she has a Clodsire as her ace! For the most part, I really liked most of Paldea’s Elite Four. I liked their different personalities, and how well they played off of each other.

I original wanted to make her background the Elite Four room, but I didn’t want to do all of that near the end of the painting and run the risk of smudging Rika herself, so I did a blue checker board like background to be somewhat reminiscent of it. Another reason I decided against it is that the Elite Four building in Paldea is really boring.
