Description In retrospect, it's a good thing her name wasn't "Compound fracture".

Come on Razor. Don't let Skar hurt Aya!

I liked when Zeia started ranting that Aya should have turned off, blablabla, and Razer just glared at her: "Oh, really?" (no wonder she sent that missile over him)Β If he was still around after the invasion episode, I doubt that she would have been able to lock up Aya... (not without Razer causing a big commotion that would reach Hal and Killowog's ears, at least).Β Β

She really wasn’t supposed to be that bad until AFTER the Anti Monitor killed her. Necron somehow masked her death and reanimated her so quickly that no one noticed.

The big point is, Aya always suffered others' prejudice. She almost had her will erased by that hacker lady,Β  the Zamarons shooed her away, even Hal and Killowog ocasionally wronged with her, though they treated her more respectfully than the others.Β  As rude as Razor was, he recognized her value in the team and gradually learned to respect her (I'm sure that when Razor said that Terminator was a heartless machine, he had FORGOTTEN that Aya was one, too - because he saw her as a person!).Β  Β

So, when Razor turned her down, it was the last straw. It was not only his fault - everybody wronged with her.Β  Exactly the same that happened to Frankenstein's creature, who turned evil because everybody rejected him.Β

I was referring to the overbearing female guardian she was afraid of. The show made her stand out even before she was to have died, and been made undead, but originally she was just another unremarkable Guardian. Aya didn’t exist in the comics. She and Razor were made to help fill in roles that other, none Lantern DC characters had preformed in order to keep this version of the Green Lantern CORPS saga as simplified and EXCLUSIVELY about the Lanterns, and as FOCUSED on the War of Light and Blackest Night as possible. I was particularly impressed by how they kept the overall plot of β€œCrisis on Infinite Earths” down to just ONE episode without it becoming totally lame. That series spanned the entire DC comic Cycle throughout 1985-86! It was some of the first DC I ever read as a little boy, after I learned to read, from my older cousins collection. I later collected Superman obsessively throughout the 90’s. I went on a hiatus during a boring period, then got into it again in 2005 when Green Lantern became cool again. Subsequently, I’m very familiar with several plot threads that eventually intertwined with Blackest Night. I can tell exactly what they did and didn’t change in the series to compact it in a way that works!
I was only slightly disappointed in them making Mogo a young GL instead of an old one, like in the comics. That meant they had to leave out the old Running joke Alan Moore started about Mogo that went on for 25 years: β€œHave all the Green Lanterns assembled for our meeting?”, β€œYes, except Mogo, of course”. That went on all that time before they FINALLY revealed that he was a PLANET! πŸ˜†

This is an endearing Golden Books-like style.
Looks like Aya is afraid of her "mom."
