I like how you obscured him significantly in darkness. I'm of the opinion that it should be hard for mortals to fully grasp the true form of a god, especially one that basically stands for an intangible concept, idea, or emotion such as pure rage.

I painted the background with watercolour, then used charcoals over the top, fixed the charcoal with fixative, drew over the top in gold pens, manipulated the colours and the brightness ratios in photoshop and added lighting afterwards. Doesn't take entirely that long to be honest.
