Stupid title for a stupid pic...yeah, she is standing directly on the water!Didn't you know that Unicorns could do that?O_o And about the missing reflection...uhh, that's just an optical illusion!
I think I'll add a handdrawn bg to this some time, cause I like the Unicorn^.^

Oh my goodness! This is really good, me likey alot teehehe. I've tried to draw her like this for EVER...well not exactly but I mean I could only get like her head,neck, and alittle bit of the top of her body. But I'll keep practiceing on that. The coloring is also very wonderful I luv it. I noticed you were a big fan of The Last Unicorn, I am too. And might I add all your work iz AMAZING!!! Well thought I'd add somthing..just to uhm...yea...I guess....

I know I'm not going to be the first person to have said this, but don't you see the sign? Unicorns = Jesus!
I really like the background, though! It looks quite pretty, and it makes her look as if she has a glow to her. I love that she's light but the background is dark--that can rarely be pulled off this well, and it looks like she's in full moonlight.

Well, now that I finally got around to seeing the film, (bought the DVD, with no regrets!) I can truly appreciate this stuff.
I'm not sure I care for the traditional media pasted into terragen rendered backgrounds, or for that matter, any 2d art. It just looks strange, almost always. I'd say go for that handdrawn BG, because yes, the unicorn is beautiful! I think she's a great character, which you are good at reproducing
The spikes of brightness on her horn - would probably look better some other way... though I don't know what would be ideal in that case.

Don't the catholics ahve this legend in which the unicorns symbolises Jesus? But the tales of the K'i-Lin also speak of this being a weightless animal, that could walk everywhere without leaving footsteps, so on the water aswell. And the unicorns from 'The last unicorn' could even live under water, so why not?
