I felt the need to make a high effort "pretty boy" rendering of Jango to balance out the fact that he usually serves to be my comedic punching bag. (My husband and I rag on this poor dude constantly. I'd say it is a problem if it weren't so fun.)

Here are some ramblings.

I tend to associate Jango's character with the sunrise (the colours, new beginnings, light after darkness, idk), which is pretty ironic since Drow aren't exactly fans of the sun. (For those who don't know, Drow are dark elves who reside underground. They have sunlight sensitivity similar to vampires, but unlike vampires it isn't deadly.) Specifically, I once read that looking into a sunrise causes them to become physically ill (Can't find that quote now but I'm sure it's out there.)

Jango is quite old, around 350ish (He couldn't tell you exactly). About 1/3 of his life has been on the surface, so I imagine that has helped him build a small tolerance to the sun. That amulet around his neck plays a much larger role, however. It is made of glass bordered with gold, and was given to him as a gift from Pippo. (Weirdly, it was formed in the same forge that Zephyr was born from). The amulet is enchanted to "keep one under shade". It doesn't block out the sun 100%, but it helps enough to keep the wearer comfortable for a few hours. He never takes it off, ever, for any reason. The glass could shatter and the enchantment would be wiped away, and he would still wear it.

It's hard to design a Drow character that looks particularly unique. The sunrise motif and his necklace are his most visually defining features, I think. It's kind of frustrating.
