For TheAbyssGarden of their character known as "Gunslinger".
I put quite a bit of thought into this, so bear with me as I (poorly) try to explain it. (I'm struggling)

The initial theme I started with was an idea of a flame, because when asking my toddler what she thought of this character she told me he was "blowing out candles". This image is sort of what I imagined the aftermath of his most recent "decision" brought him. Gunslinger chose to destroy his companions, tools, and source of guidance out what appears to be pride, or selfishness. Or, perhaps he was taking a chance on a trade. There was a feeling of brightness, like a nuke, in his act of destruction. I've interpreted that light as a spark that stayed behind to create a flame. This could be a good trade, or a bad one, who knows. It may not give him what he wants, but it could bring him to what he needs. Or not. Again, that isn't written yet.

I chose to make the character look small to emphasis his sudden loneliness, and to mirror his first appearance. A setback, a repetition. Although he doesn't always face left, he usually does, so I chose to make him face right. A change of direction, or at least a sign that this repetition is not identical to the past. His black sun is broken, so now he is instead followed by the white halo of the flame. The smoke he exhales floats in combination with the smoke of the flame. Maybe it's just a little piece of himself he is looking at for the first time.
