I purchased these two pieces of Amethyst on Ebay last month. Lovely colour when in a lit environment. Too dark otherwise to see the violet colour.Related content

Ebay? Wow thats nicer then any other stone I've purchased from Ebay. Lately I've been doing firemountaingems.com It's got some good stuff. So what are you doing with the stones besides admiring them?

Funny, because I'm wearing a pure silver ring with an Amethyst stone in it right now.

I like this pic too... which is why I thought I might share it. The violet colour of the natural Amethyst is vibrant although the facets are a little crooked on the larger gem if you look closely. Especially toward the point where one side is slightly longer. The trick to this picture's appeal is most certainly in the lighting.
