Well, I suppose enough of an apology and "it won't happen again" might sway him. But Wraith don't have any prison cells capable of holding one of their own kind. They don't do anything halfway.
That jerk just put their chance at victory over the Lanteans in jeopardy. Even if he lives, Starburst isn't going to take lightly to someone screwing around with the galaxy's most valuable worshipper.
