Question: Why are Luna and the Mane 6 working with the Empire? I'm not the biggest Star Wars fan in the world, but even I'm pretty sure that, the last time I saw it, they were the bay guys.

Not with the Empire, but with clones from Republic. Here I used a model of scout from "Return of the Jedi" because the forest camouflage rather not fit to sandy areas.

Did a little research myself and yeah, Speeder Bikes are the modern version of Swoop Bikes.
Swoop Bikes were used 1000 years before Speeder Bikes were used.
