Description Selfportrait on oils. I'm proud of the fact that is an improvement from the first one, still got things to take care of here and there. Inspired in the Tarot eight of swords

I was going to nominate one of your pieces for a DD since I think your work deserves much more exposure, but I see you already have one! Oh well, I may still nominate a different piece

sadly it reminds me of the christina agulara "fighter" video (*shudders*) but other than that, this is very nice. the expression on the face is really poignant. good job!

i love it. very strong. and the swords... you know it makes me think of a pincushion. well, the magical glow of the swords lends a softness to it.. and then it also deepens the mystery of the beautiful, strong woman.
you have a great imagination. and great skill.

I really like that this piece kept with the theme of the tarot 8 of swords, I love the way the woman in neatly bound and the swords surround her. While I appreciate and admire this amazing painting and it's inspired origins, I must say that it is not the beautiful 8 of swords representation that drew me to this, it is the woman pictured. The face, the eys, the expression, and the beauty of her. Every woman would be so lucky as to be as beautiful as this. I particularly like that there is no stated light source, i love that the light comes from somewhere else, somewhere we cant see. So i must say, amazing work, very nicely done. I look forward to seeing more. Keep up the good work!

we all grow up, don't we? and the signs of age seem to change our face, the expression that used to be innocent, carefree, expectant of joy...now seems weary, mourning, keen and questioning...
