Description
Illustration of Adeodatus and the Goddess. She is the only being he will obey, although very reluctantly. It's of the highest disrespect to take orders from anything below a Seraphim so he's probably super angry inside (she's a Cherubim, the next one down on their hierarchy). She keeps him chained to her throne for her and her kingdom's security, being only one of two left alive his power is valued the highest, therefore he is adorned in jewellery, armour, rich cloth and silk ropes.Related content

She's scared, he's the only one left capable of defending them should they come under siege so she needs him to stay there. She decorates him in lavish jewellery and armours and drapery, as well as all the customs rofl as he is valued extremely important

And yeah she has her reasons. She also uses him for power play, all the other angels see that she has chained their most powerful God and can control him, it makes her look very powerful and intimidating and keeps her role as Goddess pretty secure.

Why the cherubim are above the seraphim now is due to what happened in the past. The angels lead a war against the humans, and the seraphim were to blame so they agreed to take them down a rank to prevent further lost lives and chaos. The cherubim have more control over their power and aren't as unstable, so it would make sense that they decide the fate for the angels instead

Haha yes, she can be very cruel, but she has her reasons. Power play, security and companionship are probably the biggest factors although she is also fearful that he may one day go against her considering how much he loathes his current position
