Day 10 of the 90 day study challenge, wanted to push the more crisp, graphical feeling of lasso mixed with texture brushes and rendering. Really happy with this, I feel like I'm improving!Original photo by EmMelody;

this looks AMAZING *____* the mix of the sharp edges of the lasso technique and the use of textures contrasts so beautifully in this piece! Β i adore the rough almost abstract nature of the foliage! the lighting and atmosphere here is incredible as well <333

Honestly thought this was a photo as well! Your digital style is so different compared to your pen sketches. Really like how you did the dappled light of the tree leaves and the textures and rim light of the rock makes the peice come alive. They look very photo real! I remember the lasso being a pretty cool thing to experiment to, but I always had so much trouble with the edges looking off and the texture brushes lagging like crazy for me, especially with the lasso ticks on.

Yeah, I've always noticed the difference, but my thumbnails are pretty similar to the final outcome. And thank you! I like them being realistic but having a stylised front. And idk it's taken a lot of practice to get texture brushes to look like this, and many, many studies xD
