All Korean men serve in the military for 2 years. I carried M60 machine gun.It nearly weighs 10 kg!

I use to serve my time with the KATUSA (theΒ easy to serve version of the ROK Army of course) and hung out with some of the ROK Army guys when I was there 3 different times. Never a dull moment hanging out with the troopsΒ during our (little and limited) off-duty time. It was a sure honor to serve with the troops and much respect to all the former service members of S. Korea!

Dang, I miss my military days. She 's a real cutey, too.
Not only did the wretched thing weigh 23 pounds without ammo, the thing was reliable only when it felt like it. The burns from the awkward barrel change and mesothelioma from the asbestos mitt were free.

i kinda wish american citizens had to have a mandatory service as well . . . . .
but yes, the M240B tends to be heavy at first. you'll be glad you had it after you get used to the weight, but i emphasize "after you get used to it". but i guess i could say the same with all of the regular infantry gear. you'll hate it until you need itΒ
