A cool way to think of it, though, would be: What if those wings are just a family trait of old Dark magicians that caused a lot of trouble in the past, and having them means, "you have bad blood" or considered a bad omen or something. Now THAT could work.

No so much "drooped" as the hat is pushing them to the sides of her head, haha. Normal ears shouldn't droop down permanently though. (Unless they are intended to droop down like the Pudge ears)
