Looking forward to see how this guy develops! The drawing is super cute and the cel shading is improved over the other one. I would probably add some shading to the underbelly and the underside of the tail though, but I can see why you might have avoided it on the tail in particular, it can be tricky to sharp shade over a color division like that without it looking a little odd.

Thanks! It's my normal inclination to add much more shading, haha. But I was trying to imitate a more simple style of shading for these last few pieces. That's why I only selected a few parts of the body to shade.
It's kind of hard because I really want to add shading to all the edges and stuff. Haha. I will keep having to develop and refine it. Thank you for the pointers!

Well you can... when I'm not trying to be fast I often do two or three layers of cel shadow and a highlight, too. This one is just two layers of shading:
