Description
Sparkster, the main character of an old Sega Genesis / Mega Drive game I used to love called Rocket Knight Adventures. It was quite like a possum with armor and a rocket on his back... but pretty heroic...Related content

Deviant Art needs a better news system I guessβ¦
A new Sparkster game would be really nice.

This is one dynamic piece of Rocket Knight Adventures Fan Art *NeterG. I'm very impressed of Sparkster's heroic stance as if he's leading a whole fleet of Rocket Knights against the forces of evil that threaten homeland The Kingdom of Zebulos. Great work.

God damn, I miss Sparkster. I loved playing the first level of the Super Nintendo version over and over again just for the music. And fighting a gorillabot.
I really dig this piece, the only thing I'd advise is adding some more flame effect to the sword, it looks as though it's occuring only in the middle of the blade.

I was more of a fan of the Genesis Rocket Knight Adventures but the SNES version rocked too. Itβs sad that they never made more games with Sparkster.
You are right about the flaming blade. I should have added more flames in the top of the sword. I thank you for the constructive critique.

It's really my pleasure, I enjoyed going through your gallery, it was great. Inspiring, too.
It's funny that I saw this picture today, I was actually wondering something about the Sparkster series. Sparkster was the hero, the opossum in blue armor. Did they ever name the one in the purple armor? Or was he just the nameless rival?

Thanks! SparksterΒ΄s rival was named Axel Gear I think. He was regected from the Rocket Knights when joined forces with the Pig Star.

Wow, really? I didn't know he actually had some good history to him, I thougt they just sort of threw him in there. Thanks for that information!
