Shadow/Mekion and Robo Knux have been at it, but now Shadow is down for the count, and Metal Sonic has to face RK himself.I took some liberties with RK's design. If Mecha had such a cool Sonic Heroes design, what would RK look like?
Edit: I lightened the background, cleaned up some of the dirt, and added some grass in the foreground to break up the boring earthtones. And Aleda's eyes are supposed to be red. *points at that blue chao*
Edit #2: Since this wallpaper is, for some reason, one of the top 24 rated Game wallpapers, I decided to spruce it up a bit. I fixed the dang purply sky, for one thing. Now it's BLUE. And the clouds look better. And Mecha, Robo Knux and Shadow have all been Dodged and Burned to make them more clear. And a nifty border has been added.

i actually have a comic of sonic where they make knuckles metal to fight robo sonic an he beats the shit outta sonic an brings him back to change him back to normal an urs is good but it sorta looks nothing like there interpretation get at me ill see if i cant find it an draw it up for u its MAD tight

You can get such a solid feel of the scene and the action, too. Excellent perspective on the characters, and the color job is as fantastic as always. I love the background. The sky is so clear and calm, but the scene unwravelling below it is chaotic. =]

I dunno bout you, but take a look at the archie comics Mecha Sonic and knuckles.
Sonic and Knuckles MECHA MADNESS was freakin awesome. Look at that for some mechas.
Get back with me if you'd like to make them. I'd love to see some 3D versions.

I've seen them and have scans of the Mecha Madness issue. They're nice, but too ... Archie. I like the look of the robots from the game--sleeker, faster, less spiky and jagged.
