I recently caught Mewtwo in Pokemon Leaf, and proceeded to OWN the Elite Four with him. I see now why Mewtwo is liked so widely in the Pokemon community (and why he wound up in Super Smash Bros Melee). Then I got to thinking ... he's a lot like Shadow. The escaped experiment and everything. So here's a pic of them griping about the way their writers created them. XDRelated content

Nice work, Shadow and Mewtwo are my absolute fav.s and it is interesting to find a pic of them both together. They seem like they would be great friends, if either of them ever decided to get one.

I love your artwork. It was well done. They look exactly like the characters themselves and just a quick question: did you realize that you have an argument of what is mewtwo going on? Its like a chatroom all about him. XD

The similarities between the two are remarkable. They both...
1. Were created from the DNA of a god-like creature
2. Had female childhood friends who they lost early in their lives
3. Had their memories of those friends either erased or altered
4. Escaped their captors in order to destroy humanity
5. Were shown the error of their plans by people they had tricked or kidnapped
6. Used their powers to return things to normal after that
7. Went through a period of questioning whether they're real or not
8. And finally, they both accepted that they were their own person despite their origins
