Description I recently caught Mewtwo in Pokemon Leaf, and proceeded to OWN the Elite Four with him. I see now why Mewtwo is liked so widely in the Pokemon community (and why he wound up in Super Smash Bros Melee). Then I got to thinking ... he's a lot like Shadow. The escaped experiment and everything. So here's a pic of them griping about the way their writers created them. XD

Ah, yes, ownership. And it's not just that; M2 is just one of those inherintly "cool" characters. Like all my DBZ-fanboy friends back in middle school? Hate PokΓ©mon with a passion? But saw the movie and thought Mewtwo was cool. Oh, yeah.

You did a nice job with the lighting, and M2's pose is nicely done.

Heh it's a nice comparison, more-so if your thinking of the Mewtwo from the Anime. Both are figuring out what their purpose is. Mewtwo has found his (to live in peace with his Pokemon clones) and Shadows still looking to a degree.

BTW did they get rid of that legend in the original Red and Blue saying Mew gave birth to Mewtwo?

Wow! Excellent picture! I love Shadow and Mewtwo and they are so alike.

Mewtwo got a yarn ball! How cute! It matches because he's a cat type Pokemon. He's always been my favorite Pokemon.

I wonder how people knew of this Ai person in Mewtwo's past and why the English dub company never added that in the movie, and not even dubbing it to the United States. I've seen the story before.

Shadow's past makes a little more sense and pretty simliar to Mewtwo's.

I'm SO Glad I'm not the only one wh osaw the connection. I saw this a super long time ago, and, if you think about it, their pasts are the same.

Both Test-tube animals...created to be the best thing in the entire world. Both to 'benefit' mankind, in one way or the other. Both, had a sick/ailing girl in which was important in their lives... (Mewtwo had a cloned girl to talk to, her name was 'Ai', but they called her 'Ai-two'. She was the daughter of the scientist who created Mewtwo, because he wanted to bring back his daughter who died in a car crash... *sniff* She ended up teaching Mewtwo about life, and why it was so important, before she 'died'. She desintegrated. ) Both went on a destructive rampage (Sorta), and, in the end, really found out what life was worth... So sad.. Awesome picture...

But, a Ball of Yarn? XD Mewtwo? I didn't know....

So... does this mean Shadow's DNA was taken by a little hedgehog, too? 'cause that's how Mewtwo came to be and all. >.> < .<

I like how you did the dialouge in caption-mode, speech bubbles would have killed the effect of the scene. If you had put a black bar on top of the image, though, it would have looked like a scene from a movie. A gangster one, judging by the way Shadow's standing and flipping his emerald. Love the shading, and the intense light source from the street lamp gives it a very mysterious atmosphere. And I never realised Mewtwo shoots powered yarn balls at you. 0_0

That's a really clever idea! I didn't really think it that way... they really are quite a bit alike in some ways, storyline-wise. Good idea to make them in the same picture, having a little bit of a talk about why things aren't so great when you're an experiment XD

Very well drawn and colored. Both characters look accurate, and you've even got Shadow with his favorite Chaos Emerald. The expressions on Shadow and Mewtwo both look pretty solemn, but they both appear to be smiling ever so slightly.

Awesome details, and the scenery is cool too. You're good with believable backgrounds. Fantastic lighting job as always. You do a good job defining the glows and shadows =]

Yeah, I though about both Mewtwo and Shadow both being an experiment. It's neat how both are really cool to use in the games, becuase both of them are powerful.
I like how you did the background, and the way you set the whole picture up. Mewtwo's head looks a bit odd, but I haven't seen Mewtwo in a long time, so it must be me. I wonder why Mewtwo have a yarn ball. =3 But still, you made both of them awesome looking.
