Well, just to let you all know that I am in fact working on the painting I thought I would shove up another little WIP to prove it. I also now HATE painting men that have shadow and or stubble because it makes replicating it a pain in the ass, and I haven't even properly started on that yet!

I have worked on getting the eyes right a fair bit, so I included a mini-ref of his eyes - but his right one still needs some work. I think I might brighten them too, make them far more green! The jacket is gunna be a task and a half but I will get there eventually! Once the complicated bits like the collar and what I have included of the zip is done it's all a case of shoving the right tones in the right place and using the handy smudge tool!

Then I can add detail and texture afterwards. Either way, it's going pretty well I would say - woohoo!
