The next little update, to show you all how chuffed I am with how well the jacket is coming along! Although I don't wanna jinx it... but I think I can say that without it ending up too badly, right!? Wewt! I have decided to do everything below his head before I work on his hair and face more, so that I can concentrate solely on it when I get round to it.

Also, you may notice that the jacket does not look exactly like the picture and this is done specifically for a particular reason. It's kind of an 'Eff You!' to those people who have, in the past, dubbed me as a 'Smudge Artist'... Grrrrrm... Those of you who don't know what that is...? Well, here is an explanation for you.

Smudge Artist Allegations
A Smudge Artist is someone who simply takes a picture and uses the smudge tool to make it look like it is painted. People have named me as one because some of my things look so close to reference, but that is just the trouble with having a detailed reference I suppose... Either way! I would not spend 17 hours plus smudging a picture then submitting it because I would know I have done no work and where would be the reward in that!?

I extract colour from the reference and basically just slap it on my canvas vaguely where it is supposed to be in blocks, smudging it together to look smooth before I add texture which will make it look more realistic. So - rsssssssssssssp! to all you peoples that think I am cheating!

P.S The reason I decided to add that little rant is because you have no idea how frustrating it can be when someone offhandedly states that you did not do something - apparently unable to appreciate how much time and work was dedicated to creating it. It really annoys me... as you can clearly see. But for those of you who know and preach the truth, thank you!
