I feel like you improved on Senju-HiMe's idea... the blue and orange in the image are both lighter shades and as a result go better together (less distracting contrast). Also I like that you cut the orange in half... it looks cooler that way Finally, you show no teeth and considerably more of the subjects face which makes for a more seamless image.
If I could change anything about this image I would say perhaps the model needs light bangs... and a little bit more attitude.
But I would say it's a better version of the picture over all!
