Katara isent one of my faverite charactars either, she is just so sappy, and everything she says has to do with hope or destiney.
Which, when I started watching Avatar-and truely loved it, I still watch it almost EVERY other day D:-I thought 'Oh great, another show where the girls are all dramatic' but there where some times where she defended herself and gave me a good laugh xD but I dont want to make this comment any longer by explaining the scenes.
Good thing they brought Toph in, or I would've thought the makers of Avatar would be another sexist anime drawer Dx

I like the way it's drawn, but the dress gives her the appearance of twirling, while the hair looks wind-blown. Doesn't really add up.
The background is stunning. Her eyes and bose look Fabulous!

(I have blue eyes, but pale skin; my hair's two straight for Katara, but Azula's hairstyle is difficult @_@)

You do such a marvelous job with facial expressions in your Avatar pictures. It's no wonder they keep winding up in my 'Best' collections.
But aside from that, the compostion here is really solid. The way you've used the flow of her skirts to draw the viewer's eye to her face is what impressed me the most.
