YOU'RE ONE UGLY MOTHER!This is actually my third sketch of this concept and I'm getting tired of it... time to move on. I won't be cleaning up this mess.

Damn straight! G1 Megs is the ONLY true leader of the Decepticons! Bay Megatron was admittedly cool but...It just DID NOT look like the Megs we all know and love (and he was DAMN ugly, lol). Bay took the time to make Prime look more like his original self, why not Megatron?

Awesome. The only good thing about the movie Megatron was that he was voiced by Hugo Weaving, who did a bang up job.
I think what people fail to realize though is that what we "whambulance attendees" are saying is that yes it was a good movie, but Michael Bay fails epically at designing Transformers.
He owns at making Optimus an aft though.

That's what I love about the classics compared to the new versions of them. They know the new version's weaknesses due to they're just prettied up versions of themselves. Frankly if you put a Classic version of something against a new version, hands down the oldie is gonna kick the newbie's butt.

If the allspark can get small if enough to be carried by Shila LeDrunk why can't Megatron turn into a gun or Soundwave....Bay you suck! tell me its dumb for a big robot to shrink,then have the Allspark bigger then Bumblebee shrink to the size of a basketball.......:Bucktooth:

Amen brother! I liked the movie as a movie, I mean the graphics were awesome...but that's about it. Bumblebee or whoever pissing on one of the fleshy's was funny tho lol.

YES! Take that you representation of a pathetic reimagining of a classic series. Seriously, Transformers can be reimagined well...Beast Wars and the Dreamwave comics are two examples. But Bay's movie? NO. That was Crap and Garbage, in terms of incorporating existing Transformer mythos, Character Design, and the ridiculous focus on the two teenage twit's love interest. I mean really, their fucking hormones dont mean JACK DIDDLY in the face of billion year long between sentient machines.(I am talking about the scene where they stop to have an intimate moment to gaze longingly into each others eyes during the last fight scene)
Also, was anyone ELSE miffed that "heat rounds" from piddly little human tech was effective against the transformers?

Hey , be gald Bay did Transformers and that ugly Megs, it could have been worse in the fact that Uwe Boll could have done the moive. And we all know just how bad it can get.

Like almost everybody has said, the G1 designs just don't work in practical application. Bay had it right. Things work by a certain order. Conservation of Mass is one of the unbreakable laws. And come on, he had the most usless alt. form! he turned into a gun and needed someone else to fire him!
That has got to be a metaphore for seliciting sex...
I think G1 Megatron would come out on top of a battle between the two, but not without serious damages.

Remember the All Spark from the Bay Movie? How can it collapse in on itself if Bay wanted to follow Conservation of Mass? Why coudlnt they have done that for, BETTER DESIGNED, Transformers in the movie?
Or the movie All Spark creating Mountain Dew soda machine bots? That obviously broke several laws o physics.
So that rationale of "Bay trying to be realistic", or even "Bay following his own line of bull%^&$" kinda falls apart.

Yea... the movie Megatron was a bit wierd... but namely its that face... if they treated it like they did Prime's face... in that it was reminiscent of the original G1 figure... it'd be fine. Like, I do like the idea that Megatron was completely alien looking, and would in fact think it would be beneath him to disguise himself as an Earth vehicle...
I think the movie designs overall were actually good... despite not really looking like the Transformers we grew up to love... their coloring jobs sucked though.
Prime's the one autobot that had a really basic color scheme... and yet he's got that fancy flame paint job... as for the others... they all had ONE base color! Jazz and Starscream were particularly irksome in that sense...
Bah... the movie would've been fine as a 1/2 hr special tbh... but basically.. that would mean its only the LAST half hour of the movie.. you know... when we actually got to see the Transfromers than all those babbling humans.
It was a good action movie... but as a Transformers movie... BLAH! I never did see what was so grand about Michael Bay either... overrated ponce.

But to be honest... The G1 Megatron could have been taken out by F-22s. He just has his spark heavily guarded from the Allspark.

Aside your drawing Megatron in his actual, beautiful, 'recognizable' form, he ripped up that bloody ridiculous version of him (why would a robot need shark teeth? Why?). The expression is priceless. They should had THIS version of Megatron in that deleted scene where the MB Megs has Bay hanging out of his car spouting "Humans don't deserve the right to live" and instead of the word 'humans'--well, you get the idea. Excellent drawing.

Why would an ALIEN robot look human made and blocky? Not saying that movie Megatron is the perfect solution, far from it infact. I like him as A Megatron who does something new (especially that helmet of his, if it wasn't for the monster face it would have been perfect, IMO), but I hate him for completely missing what Megatron is about: A powerfull tyrant, not terror incarnate. Not to mention the odd body (why is he so open? I have nothing against multiple metal plates, but random shards? Come on!).
Oh, and before someone rips on me for that first sentence: That doesn't mean I don't want more traditional TFs for movie.

Yes, that's true as well. Why would robots look anything like the G1s to start with--or anything we humans would recognise? Both points are true--in the end, you are right, Jazz was probably the best of the two styles combined---
And they killed him. Go figure.

They would/should look like G1 to start with cause that's just what you do with a franchise: Stick in visual homages to the original characters. Prime, Jazz, Bumblebee, and even Ratchet to some extent managed that, but alas not the others. 
And they killed Jazz cause they figured he would have been the one character besides Prime and Bumblebee that the audience would have cared about most. HA. Maybe if they hadn't cut down his screentime and made him the most horrible stereotype imaginable. ><

Yes, but the problem is you have NEW 'audiences' to appeal to. I know of a few kids who wanted to know why robots would want to look human when they weren't. And of course, you had Bay wanting HIS version on screen. A lot of influences there, including older fans.
I'm probably the only one I know who thought that that little dance of intro was a bit beneath a second in command who was supposed to be someone into culture--it was too--cliche. And poor Ironhide--most of their dialog was so badly thought of--even if they were trying to 'get along'. Either they gave the robots less credit for intellegence, or the audience.
