Description
This can be interpreted in one of two ways:A. Venom is about to rip Spiderman a new one
or
B. "Imma gonna raep u now"
Either or is a win-win. 'Cept for maybe Spidey, that is....
So, after hearing that Venom is going to be in his own movie, the fangirl in me had a good squee-attack right then and there because Venom has always been my favorite villain of all time. Soon afterward, I go digging for good ole' Venom/Spidey fics and come across this goldmine of epic and I couldn't get a certain scene out of my head and I HAD to put it to paper.
That aside:
I'm surprised that this pairing has such a small fanbase. I mean, Venom's borderline obsessed with Spiderman and Spidey is flexible and Venom is... well, Venom.
But the 3rd movie sucked major eggs 90% of the time and the SM3 Venom was FAIL, so I shouldn't be too surprised that only a few like him. Hopefully, they'll get a better actor ('cuz whimpy Venom is GAY and the real deal is a fuckin' BEAST!!!) and a director who actually likes Venom so that he can be portrayed properly. One can only hope....

Overall, I'm VERY pleased with the result. I enjoyed inking this and was sad when I finally finished. Also, superheroes are definitely a great study for muscles because they're buff and they wear such skin-tight clothing.
I may color this later... maybe. But I kinda like it just black & white. Still, if anyone else wants to give it a go, there's a larger file for download. Please tell me if you color this, I'd like to see the end result!

Nice piece. Venom is my favorite marvel character all time- eddie version- don't care for the insane symbiote or scorpion as venom so much. I think skinny venom may have done okay in the movie if they'd fleshed out his story more and made him more interesting. he appeared in like the last 10 or 20 minutes of the movie and barely did anything. makes me sad.

The whole movie just spiraled all the way to the seventh level of bad movies and suckage after Parker found the symbiote. If it wasn't stumbling around drunkenly in the first part of it, then it was smashed soon after. *sigh* HOPEFULLY the Venom movie will be so much better.

actually I thought the movie took a pretty bad turn once Peter went into his "emo stage" after finding Venom. I was cringing in the theater, really.
The movie people had a good idea with the texture of Venom, as in, how he came together to look all slimy and sinewy and cool, but yeah, he needed to be WAY bigger. They just picked a guy that didn't look all that formidable and couldn't be taken all that seriously for such a badass character. (*done ranting*) D:

Hm... I haven't seen the movie since it came out and it's not on my list of "Movies I Want to Watch Again" so the overall movie sucked for me. My opinion: They tried to cram too much into one movie and the effect was SUCK.
I agree, they had a great idea for the whole texture--kinda like muscle and goo and the same time, but really, Venom was ginormous and Topher!Venom was puny.
Honestly, I think Grace looked good and I like his overall character delivery, it just didn't hit the nail on the head, missed, and dented the surface of people's view of who Venom really is. I'm hoping his new movie'll do him justice....

As far as I know, live action. Hopefully it'll be hitting theaters, cuz I wanna see the REAL Venom on the big screen. Plus, Venom is a pretty popular villain and it's Marvel, so I doubt they'll let it slide straight to DVD.
