beautiful picture! strange coloring for a ringneck pheasant though (the feathers on the head are white) but it makes it interesting. I never am able to see em in the wild like this, they always fly/hide.

yeah theres a technique to approaching them - same as any wildlife really.
I think these might be either jevenile or winter coats. not sure.
