no, uniformity spike/apple bloom is not canon..and never will be.

I agree. I am sick to death of people claiming Sparity canon ever since Secret Of My Excess aired.
Hell, I've seen Sparity lovefoals with cutie marks that don't represent special talents, but instead represent how much Spike and Rarity 'love' each other.
Here's what's canon-- Rarity does indeed treat Spike as a child; as a little brother figure. I prefer Spike with Apple Bloom or Sweetie Belle.
