Description
There is a colorthat is December wheat fields
in moonlight —
and I like to drive
the forgotten roads,
lights off and hammer
down, racing echoes
....................................out
................................out
............................out
and through —
escape velocity attained
and holding,
cruising altitude —
all is silent, left behind
but wind.

you know, the points actually do work in my opinion, if you think of your poem as an old scratched record where the needle would keep playing over, like a thought on endless loop?
your story has a very sci-fiish feel to me, a bit as if an alien was recreating the experience he got from born to run. I couldn't help thinking of space odyssey 2001 for some reason...
I don't think you should worry too much about not hearing the song, if you can hear the melody, you can hear it, you just have to have the time to focus on it, but it's still there in the background e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="

anyway, it's good reading something from you at all, I hope you'll soon be doing better hun e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h… " width="38" height="15" alt="

It's one of my favorite games - nothing like tearing down a deserted dirt road with the headlights off and the full moon lighting your way! Glad you liked it, sweetheart...

You know, you just said something there in your comments that may have cleared up the problem for me. My stress has been so high for so long. I wonder if that is why I can't hear my voices clear anymore either--but how do I edge it off and get to the zone again--
How about instead of the dots, you just space it out there. I think Wendi does that.

I've always been like that - too much "noise" in my life makes it almost impossible to hear what I need to. Which does not necessarily relate to actual noise, I've written pieces at choir concerts and basketball games!
Only thing I know to do is to wait until things back OFF a bit...
I tried the "just space it" thingwith no luck - see above. Ah, well, lit always HAS been the "red-headed stepchild" of dA anyway...

ROFL
I hope you find your way to hearing again.
I have no luck myself with poetry. It's so difficult.

Wow, you've stunned me again.
The dots are annoying you're right, but I don't know, sorry.
Maybe Rushy knows?

Thank you, Spamuel... you always make me feel so good about my writing.
Far as those dots go, I went as far as noting ^LadyLincoln , our esteemed gallery mod - and even she couldn't tell me how to pull it off. Guess the dots stay, at least for now!

It's the first I've heard of her, but I'm sure she's very nice. Good luck with the dot thing -- if I stumble across a way then I'll let you know
