I never had a treehouse until I was almost too old to fit in one but the memory remains. The smell of wood and old books, of being up so high, above the fences, it felt like you could see forever.

Someday I'll build one myself, a proper one, and what a story it will be, eh?

(I left many of the conceptual lines and scribbles in this picture because this drawing is about a memory, and memories are not perfect. They have holes and gaps and things slighty-to-the-wrong-side-of-left, so I left them in. Not because they were there, but because they could-have-been or had-been.
