I tried a few times to upload this yesterday since I got my scanner working.. and Deviantart said no.. The site kept timing out on me.. probably the rest of the club uploading their last minute secret santa gifts too XDThis was done as part of the Secret Santa for this year. It is a gift for
Sorry for the lateness on this.. the old muse went on vacation and once I finally decided what to draw I just couldnt find the time. Hope I didnt make you worry that I was going to flake out. ^.^;; Hope you like it!
EDIT: And you know.. I got talking about it being for a secret santa that I didnt say anything about the drawing itself.. *headdesk*
This was my first attempt at the Disney Hatter. Ive drawn a cute anime boy one with long hair for years.. but this is the first time I tried Disney's version. I didnt want his hair to be completly white so I tossed some purple in since his eyebrows are a purply shade. I also decided to go with pencils.. because I hadnt in a while.. Must say, it looks way better on paper.. my scanner is too good.. it picks up every teeny detail and it doesnt turn down to the crappy enough quality I need to get it to look like it does on paper. Its really smooth and pretty on the paper though. Im overall happy with how it turned out.. it was fun to draw..

I hate how it looks better on paper but my scanner is too good to make it look good scanned in.. how can a scanner be too good? Why is crappy quality too much to ask!

Aww.. poor kitties! Im doing fine. Working alot since I got my promotion and I want to stab coffee drinkers.. I guess Im burned out. My eyes are fine. I have an appointment coming up sometime next month I think to go see him.. hoping he will let me back into contacts because I loathe glasses.. Otherwise Im going to start getting information and quotes on the surgery.. because I am so over glasses.

Glasses can be a pain, but i don't think i could stand contacts.
Hopefully i won't need either any time soon!

Contacts are easy once you get over the idea of touching your eye. I was so scared when I first got them.. but then I realized your touching the lense, not your eye and I relaxed.. I did get to the point where I could hardly live without them though.. which is bad.. so if he does allow me back into them, at least now I know how to cope and will actually take out the contacts once Im home for the night and wear my glasses on ocasssion like Im supposed to. In the meantime I still need to look up the surgery.. with how sensitive my eyes are and having had that issue its time I did anyway.. cause I know I cant depend on contacts forever.

Havent been drawing much these days.. just no time.. Im trudging through my OCs.. everytime I think I have her nailed I change something.. just like Im planning on changing her name again.. havnt figured out to what yet.. but I think I need to stop rushing it.. I want her done so I can write the story and if I keep changing her then the story will never get written.. its a pain in the ass.. Then I also got a sewing machine for Christmas so now Ive been slowly sketching outfits to make instead of working on the art I really want to do.
Oh! I should make you draw my fairies! I geeked out and made some fairies on pixiehollow.com! I should have you draw my cute little fairykins since I havent found time to draw them yet.. and I love your style more anyway <3

I recently dug up 10 year old characters of mine and toyed around with changing their looks (and their story) but i kinda abandoned the whole thing
Then i thought of a whole new story and OCs to do but this one's doing even worse than most of my would be graphic novels, it hasn't even made it to the script stage yet

It's ok, better late than never. I understand about the scanner problems, I had to figure out how to work my brand new scanner recently. Not fun.
