if i may... the face actually looks more flat and cartoony than the rest of the pic because of the heavier reliance on outlines. i wonder how it would look with lighter outlines on the face.

This is gorgeous.
She looks like the kind of person the heroic main character, scaling a near shear mountain face in order to rescue his darling sister form the heavily guarded fortress of the enemy, finds innocently perched on an unreachable outcrop. She stays long enough to part a vital kernal of information in the mind of our hero (Perhaps intelligence on the enemy outpost, or tips reguarding his fighting abilities) before swiftly dissolving back into the rock. Our hero is somenwhat confused, but nonetheless greatful as he continues his arduous climb, thinking that he must question the local townsfolk about this mysterious apparition. However, as he tries to understand what has just happened to him, he finds that he is having trouble holding onto a mental image of her. Pretty soon, he has forgotten the encounter completely, the only proof that she ever esisted is the new information now burnt into our hero's mind and the red lantern she left behind on the outrcrop, bobbing in the mountain wind.
I'm sorry that this isn't much of a critical analysis, but I figured that a peice as good as this deserved a fairly extended comment, but I couldn't think of any suggestions for its improvement. So here you have this works first peice of Fanfiction! Woo. Lucky you.
Oh, and I couldn't figure this one out- is she holding a sword in her left hand? I thought I spotted one, but that may just be my eyes playing tricks on me. Keep up the good work and I'll see you around!
