Distinguishing features: Strong skull, blunt teeth, lurker
Description: One of the larger mosasaurs of Draconine, it is one of the more specialized species which started during the Middle Saurozoic period. This particular species of mosasaur is an avid hunter of sharks, it uses it strong head as a battering ram and would stalk sharks from below waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Then it would swim with an incredible burst of speed, ramming its head into the shark, throwing it into a daze, and finally biting the snout of the shark and proceeds to eat it. Unlike other mosasaurs, the skull is stronger and thicker than other mosasaur skulls which allow it to ram into prey. They also would hunt shelled animals like ammonites, bacculites, and other cephalopods. They have been seen following large schools of these animals, feeding on some of the stragglers. Here the largest species hunts a titanotite in a shoal of smaller ammonites. The young individuals have been swimming up rivers hunting and feeding on freshwater species and also trilobites. They live over 100 years.
